01 — About

A little about me.

CS graduate. Curious about how modern systems actually run.

I'm a Computer Science graduate from California State University, Long Beach, with an interest in the systems and technologies that make modern applications work.

I enjoy working across different areas of technology, from developing software and configuring cloud infrastructure to troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Through my IT internship, undergraduate research, and personal projects, I've learned to approach challenges with curiosity, patience, and a practical mindset.

I'm looking for opportunities where I can keep learning, collaborate with talented people, and contribute to meaningful technical work.

Cloud-Native Portfolio Deployment

Built and successfully deployed a Flask web application on AWS using Docker, Amazon ECR, Amazon ECS Fargate, an Application Load Balancer, and CloudWatch, configuring container services, networking, access permissions, and public application connectivity.

  • —Developed a Python Flask application
  • —Containerized the application using Docker
  • —Managed container images through Amazon ECR
  • —Deployed the application on Amazon ECS Fargate behind an Application Load Balancer, with CloudWatch logging
  • —Configured networking, IAM permissions, and security groups
  • —Troubleshot application connectivity and container networking

02Full-Stack / Flight Planning

FlightSight

FlightSight is a full-stack flight-planning web application built by a five-person Computer Science capstone team. It helps travelers explore and compare flight options using prices, weather forecasts, estimated emissions, and other trip details.

  • —Built Express APIs that fetch hourly Open-Meteo forecasts for departure and arrival airports in parallel, score temperature, precipitation, and wind, and label fallback estimates.
  • —Created Saved Flights REST endpoints backed by Neon PostgreSQL, with parameterized queries and SHA-256 fingerprints to prevent duplicate records.
  • —Connected weather and heuristic emissions estimates to flight results and booking flows using asynchronous requests, caching, and fallbacks.
  • —Implemented a seven-factor weighted recommendation API; it is not currently connected to the application UI.
